Minister's Message

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:3). Paul wrote letters to many of the churches that he founded, and he typically used this greeting to begin his letter. This is my first message for the Covenant newsletter. I wish I could be as inspired in what I write as Paul was, but I will never be able to express my faith as eloquently as he did.

My husband Bob (Freymeyer) and I are thrilled to be joining the church family here. We were both born in Wadsworth so in many ways we are coming home. We appreciate all that you have done to make our transition go smoothly—the help lining shelves, unpacking boxes, and most especially preparing home-cooked meals have made us feel welcome. We have enjoyed meeting many of you and look forward to meeting the rest and to getting to know all of you better.

As I begin my ministry at the Church of the Covenant, I am reminded of the words of Micah (6:8) “And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”  I hope that each of us can use these words as our guide as we work together to bring Jesus’ message into the world.

God loves us all, and we, as a church family, should strive to love one another just as God loves us. “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. My love to all of you in Christ Jesus” (1 Corinthians 16:23-24).

Grace and peace,
